Description
Kingspan Thermaroof TR27 25 mm Flat Roof PIR Insulation Board (1200 mm × 600 mm, Pack of 12 - 8.64 m²)
Product Overview
Kingspan Thermaroof TR27 25 mm (1200 mm × 600 mm) Flat Roof PIR Insulation Board is a high‑performance rigid thermoset polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation board designed for flat roof applications (new‑build or refurbishment) using fully‑adhered, mechanically‑fixed or partially‑bonded waterproofing systems, including single‑ply, bituminous, and liquid‑applied membranes. With excellent thermal performance (λ = 0.022 W/m·K) and durable foil facings, it provides a dependable warm‑roof solution with long‑term thermal stability and superior compressive strength.
Key Features & Benefits
- High‑performance rigid PIR core with declared thermal conductivity of 0.022 W/m·K for exceptional insulation efficiency.
- Low‑emissivity composite foil facings enhance thermal resistance and provide superior moisture protection.
- Suitable for use with fully adhered, mechanically fixed, or partially bonded waterproofing systems including bitumen, liquid‑applied, and single‑ply membranes.
- Compact 1200 × 600 mm board size enables easier handling and installation, especially on smaller roof areas or complex layouts.
- Excellent compressive strength (≥150 kPa at 10% compression) for robust load‑bearing performance under roof traffic and mechanical fixings.
- Thin 25 mm board ideal for insulation build‑ups with restricted upstand or roof height requirements.
- Durable PIR core ensures long‑term thermal stability and consistent performance throughout the roof lifespan.
- Manufactured under ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001 certified systems for quality, environmental, and safety compliance.
Applications / Typical Uses
- Ideal for insulating flat roofs in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings where a thin, durable, and thermally‑efficient insulation layer is needed.
- Designed for use in warm‑roof constructions beneath bituminous, liquid‑applied, or single‑ply waterproofing membranes.
- Suitable for both new‑build and refurbishment projects, including those requiring low build‑up height.
- Can be applied over metal, concrete, or timber decks, provided an appropriate vapour control layer and detailing are included.
Installation & Handling
- Store boards flat on a clean, dry, level surface, protected from weather and site moisture before installation.
- Do not use boards that are damaged or have become wet.
- Lay the boards tightly‑butted in a staggered (break‑bonded) pattern; ensure joints are offset between rows.
- Fix boards using approved mechanical fasteners or adhesive systems depending on the deck type and waterproofing specification.
- Ensure a suitable vapour control layer or sealed deck is applied beneath the insulation where required.
- Install waterproofing membranes immediately after insulation fixing, following the manufacturer’s guidance to ensure adhesion compatibility.
- Provide insulation continuity at upstands, parapets, and service penetrations to minimise thermal bridging.
- Handle carefully to avoid damage to the foil facings or board edges, especially during cutting and placement.
Compliance & Certification
- Manufactured to BS EN 13165:2012 + A2:2016 for factory‑made rigid PIR insulation boards.
- Declared thermal conductivity λ = 0.022 W/m·K.
- Reaction to fire classification: Euroclass F (System 4 AVCP).
- Compressive strength: CS(10\Y)150.
- Fully compatible with systems covered by third‑party approvals such as BBA Certificate 16/5332 for the Thermaroof TR27 range.
- Produced under ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environment), ISO 45001 (Health & Safety), and ISO 50001 (Energy Management) certified systems.
