Description
Kingspan Thermaroof TR27 120 mm Flat Roof PIR Insulation Board (1200 mm × 1200 mm, Pack of 4 – 5.76 m²)
Product Overview
Kingspan Thermaroof TR27 120 mm (1200 mm × 1200 mm) Flat Roof PIR Insulation Board is a high‑performance rigid polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation product designed for warm flat roof constructions in both new‑build and refurbishment applications. Suitable for fully‑adhered, mechanically‑fixed, or partially‑bonded roofing systems, it is compatible with single‑ply, bituminous, and liquid‑applied waterproofing membranes. With a low thermal conductivity of λ = 0.022 W/m·K, the 120 mm board provides excellent thermal performance and long‑term energy efficiency.
Key Features & Benefits
- High‑performance PIR core with a thermal conductivity of 0.022 W/m·K for superior insulation efficiency.
- Durable foil facings enhance thermal performance and offer strong moisture resistance.
- Suitable for use in fully‑adhered, mechanically‑fixed, and partially‑bonded warm roof build‑ups.
- Large 1200 mm × 1200 mm board dimensions allow for fast coverage and reduced installation time.
- High compressive strength (≥150 kPa) provides stability under light maintenance traffic and mechanical fixings.
- 120 mm thickness delivers excellent thermal performance, aiding compliance with building regulations.
- Rigid PIR core ensures long‑term durability and thermal reliability throughout the roof lifespan.
- Manufactured under ISO‑certified quality, environmental, safety, and energy management systems.
Applications / Typical Uses
- Warm flat roof insulation in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
- Designed for installations beneath single‑ply, bituminous, and liquid‑applied waterproofing systems.
- Ideal for new‑build and refurbishment projects requiring high‑performance insulation levels.
- Suitable for installation on concrete, metal, or timber roof decks with suitable vapour control layers.
Installation & Handling
- Store boards flat, dry, and protected from weather conditions prior to installation.
- Do not install boards that are damaged or have absorbed moisture.
- Lay boards tightly‑butted with staggered joints to maintain thermal continuity.
- Fix using mechanical fasteners or approved adhesive systems depending on roof design.
- Install a vapour control layer where required to prevent condensation risk.
- Apply waterproofing membranes in accordance with the system manufacturer’s specifications.
- Ensure insulation continuity at detailing points such as upstands and parapets to reduce heat loss.
