Product Overview
Caberdek P5 TG4 22 mm (2400 mm × 600 mm) Flooring Chipboard is a high‑performance, structural moisture‑resistant P5 grade flooring panel with tongue & groove edge profile (TG4). Designed for robust on‑site use during construction as well as finished floor surfaces, it provides a dependable platform for floor coverings and new‑build or refurbishment projects.
Key Features & Benefits
- Moisture‑resistant P5 grade chipboard core, suitable for internal floor systems in new‑build and refurbishment projects
- Protective waterproof, slip‑resistant film bonded to the panel, providing a safe working platform and protection from site damage, weather and stains
- Tongue & groove (TG4) profiling on all edges for easy installation, tighter joints and increased stability
- FSC® certified (FSC Mix 80%) ensuring responsibly managed sourcing of timber
- Large format 2400 × 600 mm sheets reduce the number of joints and improve installation efficiency
- BBA approved and certifiable for acoustic/structural system use, with the film rated for up to 42 days exposure on site before final floor coverings
Applications / Typical Uses
- Ideal for structural floor applications in residential, commercial and multi‑occupancy buildings where a strong, stable floor panel is required
- Suitable for use as a sub‑floor for screed, resin floors, vinyl, carpet or other finishes
- Frequently used during construction as a safe walking surface—thanks to its protective film—for other trades to work on prior to floor coverings being installed
- Appropriate for both new‑build and refurbishment projects, including areas with occasional site moisture exposure
Installation & Handling
- Store the sheets flat on a clean, dry, level surface and protect from exposure to weather or site water before installation
- Because of the film coating and larger size, handle carefully—especially when moving around joists or through doorways
- Cut as required using appropriate saws; the tongue & groove edges should be handled to avoid damage
- Lay the boards with tongue & groove engagement and fix according to manufacturer’s specification (screw or nail fixings to joists)
- After installation and before final finishes, remove the protective film (if applicable) and proceed with the selected floor finish. The film is designed to protect the floor panel during construction
Compliance & Certification
- Conforms to EN 312 structural panel standard (for P5 chipboard)
- FSC® certified (FSC Mix 80% or equivalent chain‑of‑custody) for sustainable sourcing
- BBA approved and meets relevant building regulation requirements when installed as part of an approved floor system
