Description
Kingspan Thermaroof TR26 110 mm Flat Roof PIR Insulation Board (2400 mm × 1200 mm, Pack off 3 - 8.64 m²)
Product Overview
Kingspan Thermaroof TR26 110 mm (2400 mm × 1200 mm) Flat Roof PIR Insulation Board is a high‑performance rigid thermoset polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation board designed for flat roof applications (new‑build or refurbishment) using mechanically‑fixed single‑ply or similar waterproofing systems. The large 2400 × 1200 mm board format and enhanced insulating thickness provide a dependable thermal layer in warm‑roof assemblies. The product has a declared thermal conductivity of 0.022 W/m·K.
Key Features & Benefits
- Rigid PIR core with thermal conductivity of 0.022 W/m·K across the TR26 range.
- Large board size 2400 × 1200 mm reduces joints, minimises installation time and helps reduce potential thermal bridging.
- Compatible with most mechanically‑fixed single‑ply waterproofing systems and green roof applications.
- Closed‑cell fibre‑free PIR core with low‑emissivity composite foil facings on both sides which resist water‑vapour transmission.
- High compressive strength (CS(10\Y)150) meaning the board can endure roof loads and wind uplift when properly fixed.
- Suitable for fast‑track programmes thanks to large board format and ease of handling.
- Manufactured under quality and environmental management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001).
Applications / Typical Uses
- Ideal for insulating flat roofs in residential, commercial, industrial and public buildings where higher thermal performance is required and board thickness is moderate.
- Designed for use under mechanically‑fixed single‑ply waterproof membranes or similar warm roof waterproofing systems.
- Suitable for both new‑build and refurbishment roof projects where board dimension (2400×1200 mm) and thickness (110 mm) are appropriate.
- Appropriate for installation over concrete decks, metal decks or timber decks (subject to correct design detail, vapour control and waterproofing).
Installation & Handling
- Store the boards flat on a clean, dry, level surface and protect from exposure to weather or site moisture before installation.
- Do not use boards that have become wet or show signs of damage.
- Lay the boards staggered (“break‑bonded”) so that long‑edge joints do not line up with adjacent rows; ensure joints are lightly butted together.
- Fix boards either mechanically or via adhesive as specified for the roof deck and waterproofing system design.
- Ensure a suitable vapour control layer or sealed deck is in place beneath the insulation where required and that a condensation risk analysis is undertaken for each roof build‑up.
- After insulation installation, proceed with the waterproofing membrane installation per the membrane manufacturer’s instructions — ensure compatibility with the insulation board.
- Ensure continuity of insulation at parapets, upstands, penetrations to minimise heat loss and thermal bridging.
- Due to the large board size (2400 × 1200 mm) and thickness (110 mm), handle carefully during transit and installation to avoid damage to board edges or facings.
Compliance & Certification
