Description
Kingspan Thermaroof TR27 130 mm Flat Roof PIR Insulation Board (1200 mm × 1200 mm, Pack of 3 – 4.32 m²)
Product Overview
Kingspan Thermaroof TR27 130 mm (1200 mm × 1200 mm) Flat Roof PIR Insulation Board is a high‑performance rigid polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation board designed for warm flat roof constructions in both new‑build and refurbishment projects. It is suitable for use with fully‑adhered, mechanically‑fixed, or partially‑bonded roofing systems, including single‑ply, bituminous, and liquid‑applied waterproofing membranes. With a low thermal conductivity of λ = 0.022 W/m·K, the 130 mm thickness provides excellent thermal efficiency to support reduced heat loss and improved building energy performance.
Key Features & Benefits
- Low thermal conductivity of 0.022 W/m·K for superior insulation performance.
- Rigid PIR core offers excellent long‑term thermal stability and durability.
- Compatible with fully adhered, mechanically fixed, and partially bonded warm roof systems.
- Large 1200 mm × 1200 mm board format allows fast installation across roof areas.
- High compressive strength (≥150 kPa at 10% compression) delivers structural stability under roof access loading.
- 130 mm thickness provides enhanced insulation performance suitable for modern building regulation requirements.
- Durable foil facings contribute to high moisture resistance and additional thermal efficiency.
- Manufactured under ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001 certified quality and management systems.
Applications / Typical Uses
- Suitable for warm flat roofs in commercial, industrial, and residential buildings.
- Designed for installation beneath single‑ply, bituminous, and liquid‑applied waterproofing membranes.
- Ideal for new‑build and refurbishment projects requiring enhanced thermal performance.
- Compatible with timber, metal, and concrete structural roof decks with appropriate vapour control layers.
Installation & Handling
- Store boards flat in a clean, dry, and covered area before installation.
- Do not use boards that are damaged or have absorbed moisture.
- Install boards tightly‑butted with staggered (break‑bonded) joints to maintain insulation continuity.
- Fix boards with mechanical fasteners or approved adhesive systems depending on roof construction type.
- Install a vapour control layer where necessary to protect the roof build‑up from moisture ingress.
- Apply waterproofing membranes in accordance with the membrane manufacturer’s installation guidance.
- Ensure continuity of insulation at upstands, parapets, and service penetrations to minimise heat loss.
Compliance & Certification
- Manufactured to BS EN 13165:2012 + A2:2016 for rigid PIR insulation boards.
- Declared thermal conductivity: λ = 0.022 W/m·K.
- Reaction to fire classification: Euroclass F (System 4 AVCP).
- Compressive strength: CS(10\Y)150.
- Covered under BBA Certificate 16/5332 for the Thermaroof TR27 range.
- Manufactured under ISO‑certified quality, environmental, safety, and energy management systems.
