Description
Kingspan Thermaroof TR26 140 mm Flat Roof PIR Insulation Board (2400 mm × 1200 mm, Pack of 2 - 5.76 m²)
Product Overview
Kingspan Thermaroof TR26 140 mm (2400 mm × 1200 mm) Flat Roof PIR Insulation Board is a high‑performance rigid thermoset polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation board designed specifically for flat roof applications (new‑build or refurbishment) incorporating mechanically‑fixed single‑ply or similar warm roof waterproofing systems. With an expansive board size and high thickness, it provides excellent thermal performance and large area coverage while remaining compatible with modern flat‑roof systems. Declared thermal conductivity is 0.022 W/m·K.
Key Features & Benefits
- High‑performance rigid PIR core with declared thermal conductivity of 0.022 W/m·K for the TR26 range.
- Large board format 2400 × 1200 mm reduces the number of joints, improving installation efficiency and reducing potential thermal bridging.
- Compatible with most mechanically‑fixed single‑ply waterproofing systems and green roof systems.
- Fibre‑free rigid thermoset insulation core with low‑emissivity composite foil facings on both sides, providing resistance to water‑vapour transmission.
- Excellent compressive strength (exceeds ~150 kPa at 10% compression) ensuring stability under roof load and wind uplift.
- Suitable for fast‑track building programmes due to ease of handling and installation.
- Large coverage per pack (≈ 5.76 m²) with high thickness aids in achieving low U‑values.
- Manufactured under ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001 accredited systems for quality and environmental performance.
Applications / Typical Uses
- Ideal for structural flat roof insulation in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings where high thermal performance is required.
- Designed for use beneath mechanically‑fixed single‑ply waterproof membranes in warm‑roof systems.
- Suitable for both new‑build and refurbishment projects.
- Appropriate for use over concrete, metal, or timber decks (subject to suitable vapour control layer and waterproofing).
Installation & Handling
- Store boards flat on a clean, dry, level surface and protect from weather or moisture before installation.
- Do not use boards that are wet or damaged.
- Lay in a staggered (break‑bonded) pattern so long‑edge joints are not aligned across adjacent rows; joints lightly butted.
- Boards may be mechanically fixed or adhered depending on the roof deck and waterproofing design.
- Ensure a suitable vapour control layer or sealed deck beneath insulation if required, and perform a condensation risk analysis for each build‑up.
- After insulation installation, apply the waterproofing membrane according to manufacturer’s instructions.
- Maintain insulation continuity at parapets, upstands, and penetrations to reduce thermal bridging.
- Handle large (2400 × 1200 mm) and thick (140 mm) boards carefully to prevent damage to edges and facings.
Compliance & Certification
- Manufactured to BS EN 13165:2012 + A2:2016 for factory‑made rigid PIR insulation boards.
- Declared thermal conductivity λₙ = 0.022 W/m·K.
- Reaction to fire classification: Euroclass F (System 4 AVCP).
- Compressive strength: CS(10\Y)150.
