Description
Kingspan Thermaroof TR27 140 mm Flat Roof PIR Insulation Board (1200 mm × 1200 mm, Pack of 2 – 2.88 m²)
Product Overview
Kingspan Thermaroof TR27 140 mm (1200 mm × 1200 mm) Flat Roof PIR Insulation Board is a high‑performance rigid polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation product designed for use in warm flat roof build‑ups, suitable for both new‑build and refurbishment projects. It is compatible with fully‑adhered, mechanically‑fixed, and partially‑bonded roofing systems, including single‑ply, bituminous, and liquid‑applied waterproofing membranes. With a thermal conductivity of λ = 0.022 W/m·K, the 140 mm board delivers outstanding insulation performance, helping to reduce heat loss and support energy‑efficient roof designs.
Key Features & Benefits
- Excellent thermal performance with low thermal conductivity of 0.022 W/m·K.
- Rigid PIR core ensures stable and long‑lasting insulation effectiveness.
- Suitable for use with single‑ply, bituminous, and liquid‑applied roofing membranes.
- Large 1200 mm × 1200 mm board format ensures efficient roof coverage and installation.
- High compressive strength (≥150 kPa at 10% compression) provides reliable support under maintenance loading.
- 140 mm thickness provides superior insulation levels to support compliance with current building regulations.
- Low‑emissivity foil facings enhance thermal and moisture resistance.
- Manufactured under ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001 certified quality and management systems.
Applications / Typical Uses
- Warm flat roof systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
- Suitable for use beneath fully‑adhered, mechanically‑fixed, and partially‑bonded waterproofing systems.
- Ideal for refurbishment and new‑build projects requiring high insulation performance.
- Can be installed on concrete, metal, or timber structural roof decks with appropriate vapour control layers.
Installation & Handling
- Store insulation boards flat, dry, and protected from weather exposure prior to installation.
- Do not install boards that are wet or visibly damaged.
- Lay boards tightly‑butted with staggered (break‑bonded) joints to maintain insulation continuity.
- Fix boards using approved mechanical fasteners or compatible adhesive systems depending on roofing specification.
- Apply a suitable vapour control layer where required to prevent condensation within the roof build‑up.
- Install waterproofing membranes in accordance with the membrane manufacturer’s technical guidance.
- Ensure insulation continuity at upstands, parapets, and penetrations to minimise heat loss.
Compliance & Certification
- Manufactured to BS EN 13165:2012 + A2:2016 for rigid PIR insulation boards.
- Declared thermal conductivity: λ = 0.022 W/m·K.
- Reaction to fire classification: Euroclass F (System 4 AVCP).
- Compressive strength: CS(10\Y)150.
- Covered under BBA Certificate 16/5332 for the Thermaroof TR27 insulation range.
