Description
Kingspan Thermaroof TR27 150 mm Flat Roof PIR Insulation Board (1200 mm × 1200 mm, Pack of 2 – 2.88 m²)
Product Overview
Kingspan Thermaroof TR27 150 mm (1200 mm × 1200 mm) Flat Roof PIR Insulation Board is a premium rigid polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation board specifically designed for warm flat roof construction in both new‑build and refurbishment applications. It is suitable for use with fully‑adhered, mechanically‑fixed, and partially‑bonded roofing systems, including single‑ply, bituminous, and liquid‑applied waterproofing membranes. With a thermal conductivity of λ = 0.022 W/m·K, the 150 mm board delivers outstanding insulation performance, helping buildings meet high thermal efficiency standards.
Key Features & Benefits
- High‑performance PIR core provides excellent thermal insulation (λ = 0.022 W/m·K).
- Durable foil facings enhance thermal and moisture resistance for long‑term performance.
- Suitable for use in fully‑adhered, mechanically‑fixed, and partially‑bonded warm roof systems.
- Large 1200 mm × 1200 mm board format supports efficient coverage and faster installation.
- High compressive strength (≥150 kPa at 10% compression) ensures stability under maintenance and load conditions.
- 150 mm thickness enables high insulation levels to support compliance with current building regulations.
- Rigid PIR core offers long‑term structural integrity and energy efficiency.
- Manufactured under ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001 certified management systems.
Applications / Typical Uses
- Warm flat roof insulation in commercial, residential, and industrial buildings.
- Suitable for installation beneath single‑ply, bituminous, and liquid‑applied waterproofing membranes.
- Ideal for new‑build and refurbishment projects requiring superior thermal performance.
- Compatible with timber, metal, and concrete structural roof decks with appropriate vapour control layers.
Installation & Handling
- Store boards flat, dry, and protected from weather exposure before installation.
- Do not install boards that are wet or visibly damaged.
- Lay boards tightly‑butted with staggered (break‑bonded) joints to maintain thermal continuity.
- Secure using mechanical fasteners or approved adhesive systems according to roof specification.
- Install a suitable vapour control layer where necessary to reduce condensation risk.
- Apply waterproofing membranes in line with the membrane manufacturer’s instructions.
- Ensure continuity of insulation at upstands, parapets, penetrations, and detailing points to reduce heat loss.
Compliance & Certification
- Manufactured to BS EN 13165:2012 + A2:2016 for rigid PIR insulation boards.
- Declared thermal conductivity: λ = 0.022 W/m·K.
- Reaction to fire classification: Euroclass F (System 4 AVCP).
- Compressive strength: CS(10\Y)150.
- Covered under BBA Certificate 16/5332 for the Thermaroof TR27 range.
