Description
Kingspan Thermaroof TR26 25 mm Flat Roof PIR Insulation Board (2400 mm × 1200 mm, Pack of 12 - 34.56 m²)
Product Overview
Kingspan Thermaroof TR26 25 mm (1200 mm × 2400 mm) Flat Roof PIR Insulation Board is a high‑performance rigid thermoset polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation board, designed specifically for flat roof applications (both new‑build and refurbishment) using mechanically‑fixed single‑ply or similar waterproofing systems. With its large board size and exceptional thermal performance, it provides a dependable insulation layer that is compatible with fast‑track build programmes and demanding roof systems.
Key Features & Benefits
- High‑performance rigid PIR core with declared thermal conductivity of 0.022 W/m·K for the TR26 range.
- Large board size 2400 × 1200 mm reduces number of joints and improves installation efficiency.
- Compatible with most mechanically‑fixed single‑ply waterproofing systems and green roof systems, designed for flat roof use.
- Fibre‑free rigid thermoset insulation core with low emissivity composite foil facings on both sides, which resist water‑vapour passage.
- Excellent compressive strength (typically exceeds 150 kPa at 10% compression) — strong enough for flat roof applications under mechanical fixings.
- Designed for fast track construction, easy to handle and install.
- Thin build‑up thickness (25 mm) allows insulation upgrade in constrained roof situations.
- Manufactured under ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001 management systems ensuring consistent quality and performance.
Applications / Typical Uses
- Ideal for insulating flat roofs in residential, commercial, industrial and public buildings where a thin insulation layer is required.
- Suitable for refurbishment and retrofit situations where height is limited and board size is large for efficient covering.
- Compatible for use beneath green roof systems or other flat roof finishes requiring good thermal resistance with limited depth.
- Appropriate for use over concrete decks, metal decks or timber decks (subject to correct detailing and waterproofing system).
Installation & Handling
- Store the boards flat on a clean, dry, level surface and protect from exposure to weather or site water before installation.
- Boards that have become wet or damaged should not be used.
- Lay the boards in a break‑bonded (staggered) pattern so that long‑edge joints do not align across adjacent rows — joints lightly butted.
- Fix boards by mechanical fasteners or adhesive appropriate to the roof deck and waterproofing system design.
- Ensure a suitable vapour control or sealed deck layer is in place beneath the insulation if required, and that condensation risk analysis is completed for the roof build‑up.
- After insulation is laid, proceed with the installation of the waterproofing membrane — ensure compatibility and correct fixing method for mechanically‑fixed single‑ply.
- Ensure insulation continuity at parapets, upstands, penetrations and abutments to minimise thermal bridging.
- Handle carefully to avoid damage in transit or during installation.
Compliance & Certification
- Manufactured to standard BS EN 13165:2012 + A2:2016 for factory‑made rigid polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation boards.
- Declared thermal conductivity λₙ = 0.022 W/m·K.
- Reaction to fire: Euroclass F (System 4 AVCP).
- UK Declaration of Performance (DoP) available and details essential characteristics such as compressive strength (CS(10\Y)150).
- Suitable for use in systems covered by BBA Certificate 16/5332 for Thermaroof TR26
- Produced under ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environment), ISO 45001 (Health & Safety), and ISO 50001 (Energy Management) certified systems.
