Description
Kingspan Thermaroof TR27 80 mm Flat Roof PIR Insulation Board (1200 mm × 1200 mm, Pack of 4 – 5.76 m²)
Product Overview
Kingspan Thermaroof TR27 80 mm (1200 mm × 1200 mm) Flat Roof PIR Insulation Board is a high‑performance rigid polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation product specially designed for warm flat roof constructions in both new‑build and refurbishment settings. It is suitable for use with fully‑adhered, mechanically‑fixed, or partially‑bonded roofing systems, including single‑ply, bituminous, and liquid‑applied waterproofing membranes. With a thermal conductivity of λ = 0.022 W/m·K, the 80 mm board delivers excellent insulation efficiency and long‑term thermal stability.
Key Features & Benefits
- High‑performance PIR core with low thermal conductivity of 0.022 W/m·K for strong insulation efficiency.
- Robust low‑emissivity foil facings provide enhanced thermal performance and moisture resistance.
- Compatible with fully adhered, mechanically fixed, and partially bonded roofing systems.
- Large 1200 mm × 1200 mm board format supports faster installation across larger flat roof areas.
- High compressive strength (≥150 kPa at 10% compression) ensures stability under roof access and fixings.
- 80 mm thickness provides excellent thermal performance suitable for compliance with modern building standards.
- Durable PIR insulation core maintains long‑term structural and thermal stability.
- Manufactured under ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001 certified management systems.
Applications / Typical Uses
- Warm flat roof insulation in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
- Suitable for use beneath single‑ply, liquid‑applied, and bituminous waterproofing membranes.
- Ideal for both new‑build and refurbishment roof designs requiring high thermal performance.
- Can be installed over timber, metal, or concrete structural roof decks with appropriate vapour control layers.
Installation & Handling
- Store boards flat, dry, and protected from weather exposure before installation.
- Do not install boards that have been damaged or become wet.
- Lay boards tightly‑butted with staggered joints to ensure thermal continuity.
- Use mechanical fasteners or approved adhesives depending on roof deck and specification.
- Apply a suitable vapour control layer beneath insulation where required by design.
- Install roof waterproofing membranes in accordance with system manufacturer guidance.
- Provide insulation continuity at edges, upstands, and penetrations to minimise thermal bridging.
Compliance & Certification
- Manufactured to BS EN 13165:2012 + A2:2016 for factory‑made rigid PIR insulation boards.
- Declared thermal conductivity: λ = 0.022 W/m·K.
- Reaction to fire classification: Euroclass F (System 4 AVCP).
- Compressive strength: CS(10\Y)150.
- Covered under BBA Certificate 16/5332 for the Thermaroof TR27 range.
- Produced in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001 certified facilities.
