Kingspan Thermaroof TR26 120 mm Flat Roof PIR Insulation Board (2400 mm × 1200 mm, Pack of 2 - 5.76 m²)
Product Overview
Kingspan Thermaroof TR26 120 mm (2400 mm × 1200 mm) Flat Roof PIR Insulation Board is a high‑performance rigid thermoset polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation board engineered for flat roof applications—both new‑build and refurbishment—particularly suited for mechanically‑fixed single‑ply waterproofing or similarly specified warm‑roof systems. With its large format board size and high thermal efficiency (declared λ = 0.022 W/m·K) it delivers dependable insulation performance for flat‑roof assemblies fitted with modern roof waterproofing and structural systems.
Key Features & Benefits
- High‑performance rigid PIR core with declared thermal conductivity of 0.022 W/m·K for the TR26 range.
- Standard board size 2400 × 1200 mm reduces the number of joints, helping installation efficiency and reducing potential thermal bridging.
- Compatible with most mechanically‑fixed single‑ply waterproofing systems and with green‑roof systems.
- Fibre‑free rigid thermoset insulation core with low‑emissivity composite foil facings on both sides — offering resistance to water‑vapour passage and stable long‑term performance.
- Excellent compressive strength (average >150 kPa at 10 % compression) supporting structural loads and mechanical fixings.
- Thin build‑up (120 mm) provides high insulation value while maintaining manageable roof height.
- Manufactured under accredited ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001 systems for quality, safety, and environmental responsibility.
Applications / Typical Uses
- Ideal for insulating flat roof systems in residential, commercial, industrial and public buildings where upgraded thermal performance is required.
- Designed for use beneath mechanically‑fixed single‑ply or similar warm‑roof waterproof membranes.
- Suitable for both new‑build and refurbishment projects where fewer joints and high efficiency are desired.
- Appropriate for installation over concrete decks, metal decks or timber decks, provided suitable vapour control and detailing are included.
Installation & Handling
- Store the boards flat on a clean, dry, level surface and protect from exposure to weather or moisture before installation.
- Do not use boards that have become wet or damaged.
- Lay the boards in a staggered (break‑bonded) pattern with lightly butted joints to avoid gaps.
- Fix mechanically or adhere as per the roof deck and waterproofing system design.
- Install over a suitable vapour control layer or sealed deck, performing condensation risk analysis for each build‑up.
- Once installed, apply the waterproofing membrane according to the manufacturer’s instructions, ensuring compatibility with the insulation.
- Maintain insulation continuity at parapets, upstands, and penetrations to reduce thermal bridging.
- Due to large board size (2400 × 1200 mm) and moderate thickness (120 mm), handle carefully to avoid edge or facing damage.
