Description
Kingspan Thermaroof TR26 70 mm Flat Roof PIR Insulation Board (2400 mm × 1200 mm, Pack of 4)
Product Overview
Kingspan Thermaroof TR26 70 mm (2400 mm × 1200 mm) Flat Roof PIR Insulation Board is a high-performance rigid thermoset polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation board designed for flat roof applications in both new-build and refurbishment projects. It is suitable for use under mechanically-fixed single-ply, bituminous, or other warm-roof waterproofing systems.
The TR26 range provides excellent thermal performance (λ = 0.022 W/m·K) with a robust compressive strength and durable foil facings, making it ideal for fast-track roofing projects requiring high insulation efficiency and long-term stability.
Key Features & Benefits
- High-performance rigid PIR insulation core with a declared thermal conductivity of 0.022 W/m·K.
- Large format 2400 × 1200 mm boards reduce the number of joints, improving installation speed and reducing thermal bridging.
- Compatible with most mechanically-fixed single-ply and warm-roof waterproofing systems.
- Double-sided low-emissivity composite foil facings offer excellent resistance to moisture and vapour ingress.
- Excellent compressive strength (≥150 kPa at 10% compression) providing a strong, stable base for roof coverings and site traffic.
- Lightweight and easy to handle, aiding fast and efficient installation.
- Suitable for new-build and refurbishment flat roof applications over concrete, timber, or metal decks.
- Manufactured under ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001 certified systems for consistent quality, safety, and sustainability.
Applications / Typical Uses
- Ideal for use in warm-roof constructions beneath mechanically-fixed single-ply, bituminous, or liquid-applied membranes.
- Suitable for flat roofs in commercial, industrial, and residential buildings where excellent thermal efficiency and strength are required.
- Commonly used for both new-build and refurbishment roofing systems.
- Appropriate for use on concrete, timber, or profiled metal decks where a suitable vapour control layer is installed.
Installation & Handling
- Store boards flat on a dry, level surface and protect from weather and site moisture prior to installation.
- Do not use boards that have become wet or physically damaged.
- Lay boards in a staggered (break-bonded) pattern with lightly-butted joints to prevent thermal gaps.
- Fix mechanically or adhere in accordance with the roof deck type and waterproofing system design.
- Ensure a suitable vapour control layer or sealed deck is installed beneath the insulation to control interstitial condensation.
- Following installation, apply the chosen waterproofing membrane immediately and in accordance with the membrane manufacturer’s specification.
- Maintain insulation continuity at parapets, upstands, penetrations, and edges to minimise thermal bridging.
- Handle carefully to avoid damage to board edges and foil facings.
Compliance & Certification
- Manufactured in accordance with BS EN 13165:2012 + A2:2016 for factory-made rigid PIR insulation boards.
- Declared thermal conductivity: λ = 0.022 W/m·K.
- Compressive strength: CS(10\Y)150.
- Reaction to fire classification: Euroclass F (System 4 AVCP).
- Certified under British Board of Agrément (BBA) Certificate 16/5332 for the TR26 range, confirming suitability for mechanically-fixed single-ply systems.
- Produced under ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environment), ISO 45001 (Health & Safety), and ISO 50001 (Energy Management) certified management systems.
