Description
Kingspan Thermaroof TR26 90 mm Flat Roof PIR Insulation Board (2400 mm × 1200 mm, Pack of 3 - 8.64 m²)
Product Overview
Kingspan Thermaroof TR26 90 mm (2400 mm × 1200 mm) Flat Roof PIR Insulation Board is a high‑performance rigid thermoset polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation board designed for flat roof applications (new‑build or refurbishment) with mechanically‑fixed single‑ply or similar waterproofing systems. With its large board size and excellent thermal performance (λₙ = 0.022 W/m·K) it provides a dependable insulation layer for flat‑roof systems while being compatible with fast‑track build programmes.
Key Features & Benefits
- High‑performance rigid PIR core with declared thermal conductivity of 0.022 W/m·K for the TR26 range.
- Large format board size 2400 × 1200 mm reduces the number of joints and improves installation efficiency.
- Compatible with most mechanically‑fixed single‑ply waterproofing systems and green roof systems.
- Fibre‑free rigid thermoset insulation core with autohesively bonded low‑emissivity composite foil facings on both sides, resisting water‑vapour passage.
- Excellent compressive strength (average exceeds 150 kPa at 10% compression) providing robust, load‑bearing performance.
- Medium‑thickness (90 mm) design allows high insulation value with moderate build‑up, suitable for varied roof applications.
- Durable performance for the life of the roof when correctly installed, with resistance to water vapour transmission.
- Manufactured under accredited ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001 management systems, ensuring consistent quality, environmental and health & safety performance.
Applications / Typical Uses
- Ideal for insulating flat roofs in residential, commercial, industrial and public buildings where high thermal performance is required.
- Suitable for both new‑build and refurbishment flat‑roof projects, particularly when a large board size and reduced joint frequency are beneficial.
- Compatible for use beneath single‑ply waterproofing membranes or green roof systems.
- Appropriate for use over concrete, metal or timber decks (subject to correct detailing and vapour control layer) in warm‑roof construction.
Installation & Handling
- Store the boards flat on a clean, dry, level surface and protect from exposure to weather or moisture before installation.
- Boards that have become wet or damaged should not be used.
- Lay the boards in a staggered (break‑bonded) pattern so that long‑edge joints do not align across adjacent rows — joints lightly butted.
- Fix boards by mechanical fasteners or adhesive as appropriate to the roof deck and waterproofing system design (per the waterproofing manufacturer’s instructions).
- Ensure a suitable vapour control layer or sealed deck is provided beneath the insulation if required, and a condensation risk analysis is completed for each roof build‑up.
- After insulation is laid, proceed with the waterproofing membrane installation in accordance with the membrane manufacturer’s instructions.
- Ensure continuity of insulation around roof penetrations, upstands, parapets and abutments to minimise thermal bridging.
- Because of the large board size (2400 × 1200 mm) and the moderate thickness (90 mm), handle carefully to avoid damage during transport or fitting.
Compliance & Certification
- Manufactured to BS EN 13165:2012 + A2:2016 for factory‑made rigid polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation boards.
- Declared thermal conductivity λₙ = 0.022 W/m·K.
- Reaction to fire classification: Euroclass F (System 4 AVCP).
- UK Declaration of Performance (DoP) available, covering essential product characteristics such as compressive strength and water‑vapour resistivity.
- Suitable for use in systems covered by third‑party certification and approvals (e.g., BBA Certificate 16/5332 for TR26 range) when installed as part of an approved roof system.
- Produced under ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environment), ISO 45001 (Health & Safety), and ISO 50001 (Energy Management) certified systems.
